Dodge has a World Series television commercial out apparently geared toward Tea Partiers (or Ranger's fans...).

I loved this the first time I saw it. Pity it was not Ford.

San Franciscans like cars that look like this:

And as for freedom...well, they did elect Nancy Pelosi. Just sayin'.

I think I played with that as a kid. I remember them called Tonka Toys.

Perhaps not to the point, but the ad is beautiful on my iPhone 4.

Tonka Toys are too tough. A better comparison:

I saw it a little while ago. It's great! As a child of the late seventies I have a real thing for muscle cars.

A truly great Ad, one that speaks right to our American souls.

Shame it is a Government Motors ad. I've always been a Ford man, now I am required by ethics to remain one. What say we get the government the hell out of the auto business so I can buy a Challenger!

It's a terrific ad, and a car I'll never forgive Chrysler for. I know: let's revive one of the all-time muscle cars! Let's make it look really great! Let's... force people to buy an R/T model with an additional upgrade package if they want manual transmission?

I'd love to pay $22,000 for a stick-shift 305 horsepower V6. But $30,000 for a car I wouldn't be able to drive in the winter? Yeah, thanks for that "Autostick" transmission, Chrysler...

That thing would fit in the bed of my pickup with room to spare.

Never been a Dodge/Chrysler fan. But - that is a great piece of advertising.

Diane,

If that commercial was geared toward Tea-Partiers/Ranger fans, which segment of the population do you think the now infamous Tim James political ad was intended for?
