Not really. But my husband did, indeed, win the 1st Annual Ricochet NCAA Basketball Tournament Pool. The final game, played Monday, will not affect the standings. At least, that's how I figure it.

Natch, we won't be accepting the prize. We've got so many awards, trophies, blue ribbons, medals, fan mail strewn about the place... geez ... no way we can make room for another dang T-shirt. So, we will do a virtual T-shirt rocket blast into the Ricochet universe and see who can catch it.
Actually, I'm going to consult with the great and powerful Oz back at headquarters to decide how best we can honor the folks who helped us battle back Obama and send him reeling into ... 5th place. I'm not sure what to make of Obama's trouncing of every single Ricochet contributor.

Ursula, I shold think that is self-evident. Ricochet cotnributors to a man (and woman) have responsibilities that distract from college basketball prognostication. Thankfully, at least a few participants have schedules even less demanding than Mr. POTUS.

Exactly. We have day jobs. Looking over other POTUS speeches, press conferences and the like, I note that Obama speaks with more absolute authority on sports than any other topic. I suggest he get a contract with ESPN after 2012.

Did anyone catch Notre Dame women shutting down UConn? I wanted to crawl into the TV and puts gags on the women commentators. I absolutely hate when they can't call the game objectively and obsess over one player. When UConn star Maya Moore threw elbows during a rebound attempt and bashed two Notre Dame players in the face, knocking them to the floor, the commentators LAUGHED while watching the replay! I really should watch the games with the sound off.....
It was a sweet victory.
