An artistic bomb is now officially as dangerous as a real bomb. Who knew? Only in Obamaworld.

Is this due to his potential probation violation, or has our government just outright hauled him in for the video?

I think it's more likely an excuse to protect him from fatwas, in a way that doesn't make it look like they're aiding him in any way. The optics are very bad for the future of free speech however.

Of course, if they hadn't released his name and address, he wouldn't have had to worry about a fatwa. But this country is run by thoughtless juveniles.

Does anyone know who ordered this "arrest"? This seems the key point? My leftist associates believe that this was all because of his possible probation violation, but . . . that doesn't seem to be the sort of thing that gets you a knock on the door at midnight.

I need more details, and nobody's talking.

Being that it is Constitution Day, I think it appropriate to bring up this post I wrote several months ago. Our government hounding the boob who made that video only reinforces what I wrote there.

Here's what disturbs me about this photo:

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, currently the most infamous "filmmaker" since Leni Riefenstahl, was taken in for "voluntary" questioning by five Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriffs. Their spokesman, Steve Whitmore, is on the record saying that at no time was Nakoula under arrest or in handcuffs.

So, why the perp walk? What was so special about the questioning (from his white collar crimes probation officer) that the questioning couldn't be conducted in Nakoula's residence?

Was this show arranged by the State Department or by the Los Angeles County Sheriff?

Mollie, you can have all my mashed potatoes in the re-education camps when they haul us away.

Eric Holder is on it. We'll have truth and justice shortly.

All I know is, if I were this guy, solitary confinement inside a walled armed compound would sound pretty good to me right now.

Nope, they just happened to develop an interest in potential probation violations at the same time that people were questioning the video. Complete coincidence.

How far have we come since 1988, when Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini's fatwa, ordered  on Salmun Rushdie, author of "Satanic Verses" ,was condemned in the West as an incitement to murder and an assault on freedom of speech!

I'm assuming the probation thing is simply a pretext for the much more intrusive DOJ investigation into the deaths. They really want to put this guy under the court house for this, but that darned constitution keeps thwarting their objectives.

So if it's just for voluntary questioning about his probation, or trying to protect him, why are the cameras there?

This really sucks, because if it weren't for this guy then there would be peace in the Muslim world.

Too bad this isn't a Fast and Furious arrest.

Just think of the fun they'll have when they get more "flexibility". To answer the question, I would move to Israel.

Hmm...an African-American (he's from Egypt, after all) surrounded by white police officers and someone holding what appears to be a noose. I guess the Democrats still haven't lost their affection for lynch law after all.

Just a filmmaker.
