To celebrate, the National Republican Senatorial Committee is reminding everyone of the outlandish promises that Democrats made and how they compare to what actually happened.

Wow, that's a great ad. Nothing but facts and broken promises.

I think several ads like this, playing non-stop between August and November, might actually break through the protective media firewall surrounding Obama. (if the major networks agree to air them - at this point nothing would surprise me).

For the Democrats, same old excuse, different year:

I have been thoroughly enjoying the NRSC, NRCC, and RNC ads, lately. They have been relentless in their focus on this president's, and the Democrat's, unending stream of vapid promises and failed policies.

The fact that the word "stimulus" can no longer be used in politics makes me happy.

And my hope is that more and more people will just start laughing at any economist or politician who implies that they can predict the unemployment rate to the decimal point.

Happy Birthday.  If I knew you were comin' I'd've baked a cake.

Obviously, you need birthday cake insurance provided free of charge by your employer, so that oversight can never happen again. They'll automatically determine which birthdays are deserving of cake, and deliver it automatically. What a relief.
