I would love collective bargaining for public employees too, if I had Chris Christie on my side of the negotiating table.

As much as I dislike Christie's pandering to Islamists and his opposition to Second Amendment rights, he still keeps callin' me back.

I just love the fresh breezes.  This is the voice of someone who simply states his position and is confident that even if you disagree, he's OK.

It's fine and all, but I'd rather have an institution free of collective bargaining rather than rely on a person who happens to be good at negotiating. By all means, unleash him for now, but what happens after he's gone?

Precisely.  When the next Governor Corzine is in office, collective bargaining will again simply be a means of channeling floods of money from the public coffers to the public employee unions.

Interesting... On some level it seems more effective and efficient for government (or even a company) to say NO once to everyone, rather than thousands of times, but I guess it doesn't work that way

Let me finish that for you... "channeling floods of money from the public coffers to the public employee unions..." back to the Democrat's campaign war chest.  It's been a very "profitable" racket at the public's expense.
