Greatest Movie Ever?

Asking the important Friday question: does this look like the trailer for the GREATEST MOVIE EVER MADE... or, like, what? I'm just saying. Warning: some may find it offensive, though there's no bad language or anything.

I don't normally laugh at trailers, but that one had me rolling.

Re: Greatest Movie Ever?
We'll see how they hold up over a whole movie, but the Stooges impersonations were spot on in the trailer.

Re: Greatest Movie Ever?
Yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhh... must be a boy thing.
For that matter why are boys so much more drawn to physical comedy than girls? My husband loved (or more correctly loves the 3 Stooges). I remember watching them a lot as a child and wondering why they're always so mean to each other.
It's like the time in a former life I was performing for a room full of elementary school kids. The school had given us a stage that was barely large enough for our set, never mind 4 actors. So, when I as the Swamp Monster showed up on stage to scare the actors playing scared kids, the 6'4" actor apparently forgot what a "stage trip" meant and actually tripped me. My right foot caught the edge of the stage causing me to do a flip in the air and then land very hard on my butt on the floor. All of the boys in the room yelled in unison, "WHOA! COOL!" I limped behind the stage and cried my eyes out, not from embarrassment but from pain.

Re: Greatest Movie Ever?
Originally, this movie was supposed to feature Sean Penn (Larry), Benicio Del Toro (Moe) and Jim Carrey (Curly). Instead, we ended up with Sean Hayes, Chris Diamantopoulos and Will Sasso.
It looks like a dreadful, cheap, straight-to-video piece of schlock to me. Sorry.

Re: Greatest Movie Ever?
I don't get the love for the Stooges, so I guess I lose my boy membership card.
Gimme the Marx Brothers any day of the week or, failing that, Brain Donors.

Re: Greatest Movie Ever?
I'm hopeful, but it's always risky to remake the classics. Here's hoping that it at least brings another generation to Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, and Dr. Howard.

For boys, I think it brings back fond memories of the preschool years. That's really the last time in your life when you could punch a "colleague" in the face and get away with it. Ahhh, memories....

The Three Stooges were awful, and I'm talking about the originals. I'm with FeliciaB; it's a boy thing.
Now Groucho, Harpo and Chico were some funny fellas, setting aside their unfortunate surname.

It IS a boy thing, but the original Stooges are wonderful.
This one has the awful Jane Lynch... as a nun. Yeah, what could possibly go wrong there.

Well... I don't know. The Stooges already did their thing. Why do it again?

Re: Greatest Movie Ever?
A friend of mine in college put things this way.
1. Americans excel at slapstick comedy, more than any other nation.
2. Americans are horribly embarrassed that they excel at and even that people enjoy slapstick.
