FeliciaB:   However, I have yet to find the conversion for pole dancing... :-\

Are you looking for the conversion for the dancer or the observer?

FeliciaB: Casey, should we pick one chart and make that the one we all go off of?  Since you started this, I think you should be the chart picker. · 18 minutes ago

Let's go with this one:

  http://www.10k-steps.com/content/pedometer.aspx?owt=1

It seems to be the most thorough.  Though it doesn't have a "Bicycling, towing liquor" category... so we'll just say Stu can double regular biking.

Katie, the pedometer I ordered is supposed to arrive tonight.  So you and I can be the late starters tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I'm dying to find out what exotic locale 10 cents is in, where he is around 13 hours different from US Eastern time (if I read the time of his post correctly.

Only if we want too, and it agrees to be followed.

My steps would likely equal Mollie's.   I swim a few mornings each week; would that be enough for me to be an anarcho-cardiovascularist?

I counted my walk out from the building I was working in..780 steps to the gate. Round up between the gate and the truck and I've got 1600 not counting the actual job or the pacing that goes with it.

This explains so much. The scales have fallen from my eyes.

It has worked well in the past for others. When asked about his success in show business, the late George Burns offered this explanation: "All I had to do was ask, 'Gracie, how's your brother?' and she talked for 38 years."

Casey:  I walked briskly for 45 minutes.  Since I don't have a pedometer, I'm just going to round it to 50,000 steps.  Sound OK?

How much did the scales weigh? Look how much weight you're losing already!

I don't think you can round minutes to steps... where the heck is Craigen?  Does he know there's math tutoring to be done in this thread?

Mollie Hemingway, Ed.

OK, so it took me running all the errands on foot, while pushing about 100 pounds worth of children in a stroller, but I'm past 9,000 steps. I don't think I can keep this up. Also, do I get extra points for the surprisingly heavy children I raise/push around?

Good grief. What's with all the all the conversion of towing poles while full of liquor and all that?

The rule was simple:

Just strap a pedometer to your belt tomorrow morning and start walking.

Casey, You gonna have a post in the morning to post the results? Because I walk in My sleep too.

It will get easier.  Honest.  I'm completely sure about this.

Of course, I haven't started yet.
