Since I am a contrarian still, I am not going to buy a pedometer, but I bought a new weight 10lbs heavier for my kettlebell work out, and did my 2 miles with my 50lb ruck this morning, yesterday, and the day before that I did 4miles.

It's 9:30 AM and I only have 75 steps. This is not going to go well for me.

Wait!  I don't have my pedometer yet!  Also, it's pouring rain here.

It's pouring rain here too.  This is some sort of vast conspiracy, isn't it?

I am at the end of my first day and sick in bed. I am an hour from Wednesday. Since I was home all day a lot of time without the pedometer I have only 1338 steps. Terrible but true. I hope tomorrow I can have a more respectable total. In the spirit of competition everyone "break a leg" or maybe I should say "shake a leg".

In my best drill sergeant voice: When did rain hurt anyone? Get out there, Evs! (still only have 75 steps)

If only I had a pedometer...Couldn't drive into the secured area today and had to walk. With my short strides that 4 minute hike is probably worth a lot of steps.

Ken, shush about the rain. It was clear when I walked out here, and I want it to be the same when I walk out later.

If you do walk you will not die?  Catholics believe that Mary did not die, but everybody else, her son included, did or will.

Casey:  Let's talk. Yes, I will go walking today despite a hurting Achilles' tendon. No pedometer: that's just one more exercise device too far.

I'm wondering about your motivation.  Is it love for humanity (like the liberals)? Is it love for Ricocheteers (who, based on my observation and excluding myself, are way better than your average "humanity")? Or is it purely political: for example, is it to keep as many conservatives alive for as long as possible so that we can offset all the dead liberals the Democrats keep on the polls in every major city?

Inquiring minds are asking: What makes Casey run? Or walk?  You know what I mean.

I walk a fair bit, but I ride my bicycle doing deliveries for the liquor shop a lot more. Today I did 18Km and my heaviest load, including the trailer was 158Kg, which is 348lbs. Not walking but still a lot of work!

Is that where the adherents hate government but have big hearts?  I hope it doesn't involve organ harvesting.

There are quite a few websites out there that do step conversions for various activities.  However, I have yet to find the conversion for pole dancing... :-\

Casey, should we pick one chart and make that the one we all go off of?  Since you started this, I think you should be the chart picker.

They say an hour of vigorous exercise adds two hours to your life.  I'll defer to Craigen on the math but I'm pretty sure this is a fool-proof formula for eternal life.
