Re: Marketing Campaign
Dave,
Obviously the Hope and Change thing is a bit worn. Come up with something simple the average idiot voter can understand. Try to keep it to a single word.
Thanks,

Shouldn't that be a Chevy Volt with the battery on fire?

I need one for my bike. I commute by bike in Portland, OR. I'm already creating one that says: "Hate Me, I want to be the 1%"

So EJ, when are you going to start marketing t-shirts and other products featuring your work? I think that Cafe Press needs an EJ Hill store!

Great idea!
There could be a series on "Forward!" alone, especially given the long association of the word with socialism/communism and the fracas at Wikipedia. I'm imagining something in the socialist realism line, with the marching comrades trampling the Constitution or the economy, or leaving freedom, strength, and prosperity and marching into poverty and captivity. Nothing, though, like the image of the cliff.

EJ
I want a bumper sticker, how do I get one? Can I have a local print shop make it or will you be offering them later?

Daniel, Sandy and Molly - No, there will not be an EJHill store anytime soon.
Parody for political purposes is protected speech but "rights management" for images produced for a profit is something I really don't want to wade into. (Google the Shepard Fairey/Associated Press mess if you want to get an idea.)
God knows that with four kids I could always use the money but once lawyers get involved I would probably lose money instead.

Unfortunate, but true. Whenever you use/alter someone else's work, things get complicated. I can understand not wanting to touch it.
I do, however, think that Ricochet should have a Cafe Press store. Perhaps a slogan contest is order for products that would be featured in such a store?
