My thoughts so far (first chance to watch a debate this year): Romney doesn't understand the constitution's prohibition of a religious litmus test is not on individuals but the government. Bachmann is in love with the word "historical." Ron Paul is the only person willing to state the real problems. I like Gingrich more. Romney, Santorum, and Perry are all really annoying. Letting the crowd cheer hampers the process, in my opinion.

I really think Bachman's voice is a problem. The others are all booming compared to the lone woman's voice. Not fair, she sounds plaintive no matter what she's saying.

It was refreshing to watch Romney get flustered. It was encouraging to see Rick Perry show up. Some of the shine wore off Cain, but not enough to really do much damage. The rest, meh. I would really like the popularity contest portions of this thing to get finished so we can get about comparing the actual records and plans of the candidates so we are well informed for our selection.
