I just added Fred to my list. His interview on the (Ricochet) podcast (5/21, with a special Fred-only follow-up on 5/23) was great.

He does seem to be the master of the fast and clever quip. I supported him in 2008, I wonder why he couldn't be like that on the stump or in the debates? Instead we got McCain.

I wonder if he's writing this himself? It's really inspired, and as you say, if he'd been this alive while campaigning, history might have been quite different.

Thompson is a funny guy at times. He made similar jokes during some discussions on Fox News before the campaign. I think he's writing those messages. Even when he's cracking jokes, though, his expression doesn't change much.
I wish I could have supported him in 2008. It's so reassuring that I can rely on the more liberal Northeast to weed out the best candidates before Texas gets a vote.
