It's encouraging when facts make it into mainstream media; one hopes that the myths and fallacies which underpin so much faulty thinking will be exposed as such to at least a few more people.  Kudos to AP, which has taken on President Obama's false millionaire premise directly in this good Fact Check piece.

Independent Women's Voice was recently very busy in NY-09, calling voters of all political stripes on Turner's behalf, and it is remarkable the degree to which even former Obama supporters are unhappy with his policies and disappointed in him.  The things they wanted to "send a message" about were many and various, but the desire to do so was broadly felt.

Indeed for many, the greatest disappointment was expecting change from the usual political behavior, yet scandals like Solyndra and the egregious distortion of facts to support a political end of inciting resentment are slowly but steadily revealing that what change there was, was for the worse.

I have often heard an old military/football/business adage, to wit: One "Aw shit!" wipes out ten "Atta boy"s.  Regarding the nicely factual AP tax analysis; it is, indeed, a good "Atta boy" start.  But gee, that "Aw shit!" pile is positively Sisyphean.
