I'm sure you all are aware of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and its complaint against Boeing.  It sure looks like a crude attempt to prop up the foundering non-government unions, eh?  Darrell Issa's on the case, so I have a feeling that any smoking guns will soon be in evidence.

Unfortunately, there's a lot more what Boeing came from.  Ford appears to be next firm to get it Chicago Style..  With a sweeping hat tip to Friend of Ricochet Mickey Kaus, these stories suggest that the UAW and its workers are hell-bent on crippling the only US automaker that the government and the unions don't own.

I know, cue Captain Renault....  But between Solyndra, Boeing, and now Ford, I wonder if the Obamatrons are "stuffing the beast"?  How many investigations can Issa, et.al., conduct at one time?  Will the public tune out a drumbeat of corruption, thinking it's background noise?

The White House was certainly not happy with that Ford ad criticizing "government motors." Is it paranoid to think that that played some part?

It matters less what the public thinks than what the future special prosecutors think. They are the people who will start putting some members of the present administration in jail. And the public will be very aware when that happens.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean no one's out to get you!

Why exactly does the NLRB exist, and how does an organisation set up to monitor some Private sector union elections and the vaguely described unfair union practices; get to the position of power to decide where and how a private company should run its business? I though that was a matter for the shareholders who are risking their money, and not a federal government Satrap.

Don't forget Gibson guitars. Not an action by the NLRB but typical of this administration.

If Ford broke the union and hired hungry, non-union labor, I would buy a new Ford at the first opportunity. I will not buy GM any more.

Severely beat me to the punch, but I think that a strike would be a perfect opportunity to jettison the UAW, and hire non-union labor at a lot lower cost. I am sure that there are more than a few unemployed people with the right skills that would jump at a job with good pay and benefits (just not gold plated ones)....

Oh, the unions would be apoplectic, and probably go 'Wisconsin', and it would be fun to watch.
