Faulkner in 2012

I think I have found my new hero. (He's probably a little bit looney, but who isn't?) The recession hit the construction business pretty hard, I guess, and here's a heck of a way to spend the down time while you wait for the phone to ring.

Well, they are also needing a lot of construction over there. As the US A.I.D. infrastructure packages go out for bid, and the favored family enterprises win the jobs, those companies will need skilled labor to do work while the connected family company managers polish their yachts.
It would be interesting if Usama got it with a nailgun. We'd have a whole new action movie franchise, except that Usama's character in the fillum would be changed to a Zionist drug lord trying to steal poppies from starving Afghan subsistence farmers.

My favorite detail in the story: "Khan also said the man has a small amount of hashish in his possession." Wow. He's in Northern Pakistan and the police noticed, and found remarkable, that he had some hashish on him? Did they also report that he had two arms and two legs? "Suspect is carrying a small amount of hashish, and appears to walk by means of two appendages emanating from his lower body that he calls 'legs.' His claim that he was of human parentage, or that he needed oxygen to breathe, cannot be independently confirmed at the time of his arrest."

Too funny, Fredosphere (sorry for neglecting the umlaut (sp?)). However, I back off my "hero" statement since that detail was added in an update, not the original story. Still, I'm likin' this guy's spirit and gumption. He's a man of action not words, unlike our ... well, never mind.
