Enough, Already
Let's review the events of the past week . . .
Sunday, May 1 -- President Obama announces the death of Osama bin Laden.
Monday, May 2 -- During Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House honoring two Korean War soldiers who died trying to save their colleagues' lives, Obama says it's "a better world" with UBL in Davy Jones' locker.
Thursday, May 5 -- Obama lays wreath of red, white and blue flowers at Ground Zero; four-hour visit to Lower Mahattan includes meetings with 9/11 families, firefighters, cops and rescue workers.
Friday, May 6 -- Presidential visit to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; Commander-in-Chief privately meets with members of Navy SEAL Team 6.
Sunday, May 8 -- Obama's one-on-one interview with a sometimes-fawning Steve Kroft (same fella who let Bill Clinton escape the Gennifer Flowers noose so long ago) occupies all of "60 Minutes".
That's one week and five very big bites out of one very juicy apple, for a White House that publicy said it has no interest in "spiking the football".
Yes, a job well done (because you trusted in the military, something that doesn't come naturally for those on the left).
But, with all due respect, sir . . . it's time to move, Mister President.
Or am I missing something -- and has the White House already done an end-zone celebration?

Re: Enough, Already
Ignoring for a moment what he said on all these occasions, it doesn't seem too much to me under the circumstances. But it may get there.

Re: Enough, Already
might as well release the OBL photos

Re: Enough, Already
Look for the photos to be released when President Obama needs either a boost in the polls, or to take something else off the front page for a week.

Re: Enough, Already
I actually thought Obama was good last night on 60 Minutes. It was nice to finally see him able to speak without TOTUS. On the other hand, I am sure the thoroughly aroused Steve Kroft only asked him questions that were prepared by the White House.
We the people do deserve a week off from seeing the smiling face of our fearless leader.

Re: Enough, Already
I have no problem with Obama and Company riding this wave for as long as possible. Yes, I know they're hypocrites and have everyone who they hate to thank for the Bin Laden takedown.
But, I look at it from this perspective: They are not gaining any votes by doing any of this; they are only losing them. It's clear the liberal base has real problems with all of this. And, the more Obama talks about how risky it was and how brave he was in authorizing it, the more the liberal base is gonna think about sitting out the next election. And I doubt many indies are going to turn Obama's way just because of this. The economy is the #1 issue now. In addition, in a debate somewhere down the road, the Republican nominee SHOULD have a field day with all of this "non-spiking but spiking" of the football. Keep talking, Mr. President, keep talking.

Re: Enough, Already
It isn't hypocracy, it's approach.
What Obama wants is Adoration for Obama, and Credit for Obama.
What Obama doesn't want is people chanting "USA USA USA" and being proud to be American.
What Obama wants is to be Looked Up To as Commander In Chief
What Obama doesn't want is a discussion on Enhanced Interogation Techniques that led to his ability to achieve his goals.
Essentially the left wants to Isolate the Incident to Obama and Obama alone.
So essentially Worthy stole the ball, passed it to Scott who moved it downcourt and handed off to McGee who then passed it in to Jabbar who scored. And the left is trying to make the play narative be that Jabbar scored when Worthy couldn't. And, if Worthy had been any good he would have made the full court shot, but didn't want to score so he didn't make the full court shot.
