Politico is currently running a story entitled "Obama's Debt Expert Yells at Kids." Truth is, Obama's debt expert Alan Simpson wasn't yelling at kids, but at their grandparents who act like they could care less about the well-being of future generations when it comes to restoring fiscal sanity to the entitlement system. Of course, Simpson empathetically explained, it's hard to care much about these disrespectful saggy-pants youngsters who listen to 'enema man' and 'snoopy snoopy poop dog.'

Doesn't Sen. Simpson know that Chrysler is featuring Enema Man in its new commercials? Snoopy Snoopy Poop Dog only gets to pitch Pepsi Max.

You see, I never know with this COC thing. I thought Simpson's comment was funny but not COC compliant, and that his overall comments were more cognizant of the budget crisis than anyone else I've heard representing Obama. Now that I understand what we are really after...

There's a PhotoShop there that A) is disrespectful to the late Charles Schulz and B) way COC non-compliant. But like a good Hitchcock scene, sometimes you just don't have to show it.

Given that Snoop Dogg and Eminem are listened to by Generation X, as much as those "kids" today, it seems that Simpson is a little out of touch with modern pop culture.

It's obvious that Simpson knows who Eminem and Snoop Dog are. He's just doing the same comic thing some of us do when we pretend not to know who Justin Bieber is.
