Elizabeth Warren Digs Herself in Deeper
Now everyone knows that would-be Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren falsely claimed to be Native American in the Harvard Law School directory, so as to boost the school's (and her) minority street-cred. (In a separate thread, member Amy Schley's makes the wonderful suggestion that Warren's Indian name is "Sits with Tenure." Or possibly "Dances with Quotas.")
But it gets better. Warren now explains that she lied about her ethnic status in an attempt to make new friends! “I listed myself in the directory in the hopes that it might mean that I would be invited to a luncheon, a group something that might happen with people who are like I am,” she said. Pathetic, yes, but also confusing. "People who are like I am?" What does she mean? Does she mean she hoped to meet other white people pretending to be Indians? Or is she claiming that (a) Native Americans are likely "progressive" like her; but (b) they generally keep to themselves, so only by pretending to be a Cherokee would she get invited to the best liberal pow-wows? How patronizing can you get?
Is this having any impact on the poll numbers in Massachusetts?

I'd go with Sitting Bull.

It's one thing for white people to advocate for affirmative action. But it's another thing to turn around and claim minority status so you can profit from your own advocacy.
On the other hand, this does remind me of Blazing Saddles, when Headley Lamarr (Harvey Korman) tried to get into the movie theater with a student card.

I've told a lot of people I am the only person who is in the baseball Hall of Fame who also has received the Congressional Medal of Honor. Not a single person has invited me to lunch. Perhaps I should scale back a bit.
Question: What is that makes people who have a perfectly good resume, as Elizabeth Warren undoubtedly has, but who feel the need to still fudge a bit?

Lord this irritates me. I actually have some Native American dna. I Also have Scotts, Irish, Germans, Polish, English, etc. in my background. That makes me a mutt. I like being a mutt. I have hybrid vigor. I really wish the left would stop looking at people like they are breeds.

Re: Elizabeth Warren Digs Herself in Deeper
She will probably appeal an election loss on the basis that the voters "hurt her feelings".

An edge is an edge. Once you've made it to the big leagues of Harvard Law, it could be a liability, but only if it was a lie to begin with.
I still think that on the Census form under "Race" there should be a box labeled "Human."

Re: Elizabeth Warren Digs Herself in Deeper
No she will appeal the election based on affirmative action quotas for Native American Indians. Actually this brings up a good point. Since I can be excluded from consideration for a job or promotion because I do not fill an affirmative action quota category, should not the same be done for congress or any political office? Shouldn't politicians be excluded from holding office if that position or department or branch of government does not meet the affirmative action standards? Should politicans not have to live under the same rules I do? If not then why not?

All these racist jokes about Ms Warren are mounting up. I'm looking at you, Amy, Pseud, Docjay. I've calculated that thirty-two of them constitute, if not a hate crime, then at least one authentically nasty comment.

Chief Dennis Miller named her Spreading Bull. I still like that the best.

Re: Elizabeth Warren Digs Herself in Deeper
In today's modern age traditional racial and gender political categories seem to have less to do with genetics and are more about how an individual prefers to identify themselves as. So that if you are a male but preferred to be thought of as a female then you can classify yourself as a woman despite genetics or physical evidence. If you think of yourself as a Native American Indian then you are one despite never having an ancestor that was one or ever participating in Native American tribal culture. If you are born of an Keyna black father and an American white mother you can be considered an African American even though you have equal ties to Kenya, America, black, white cultures.

It's the feeling of inadequacy they have from being so... vanilla.

Warren: My grandfather had high cheekbones, "like all the Indians do."
And white men can't jump, sadly.
I love it when the pc racialists eat their own.
