Dumbest Tweet Ever?

I don't know if this is the dumbest tweet of all time, but it sure comes close.
I don't know what's more ridiculous -- the idea that the phrase 'illegal immigrants' should be in quotes, or the idea that global warming is responsible for wildfires. Thoughts?

Re: Dumbest Tweet Ever?
Like members of a religious cult, the liberals feel a desperate need to parade their ignorance and folly.

Re: Dumbest Tweet Ever?
Even on its own terms, it fails spectacularly. I mean, if I were of a lefty persuasion, wouldn't I already believe that the GOP is on a rampage about what illegal immigrants are doing to Texas, Arizona, and the country generally? Yeah, definitely the dumbest tweet ever.
(Well, maybe second only to a congressman tweeting his man-business all over the place.)

Re: Dumbest Tweet Ever?
Hmm. If there were as little evidence that people immigrate to the U.S. illegally as there is for "Global Warming" what might the Dems propose?
Walking offset credits, perhaps?
I really don't know.
I do know there'd be a big new shiny regulatory agency and corporatist kickbacks involved.

Re: Dumbest Tweet Ever?
But what's truly brilliant about it is how successful the global warming PR campaign has been so that now global warming is cited by the MSM around every type of natural disaster. I actually heard a guest on NPR correct the host's reference to "global warming" by saying, "I prefer that you use the term 'climate change,' as the concept of global warming is too difficult for some people to easily grasp."
Meaning of course that when you say 'global warming' it's more difficult to make fossil fuels responsible for tornadoes and floods.

I can't wait until they find out that illegals started the fires.

Re: Dumbest Tweet Ever?
Unfortunately, we are indeed going through a spout of unusual weather, which makes people more susceptible to pseudo-scientific claims about "climate change."
Here in Houston, we normally don't experience winter as a real season. Rather, the cold interrupts our warm weather for a week or even just a few days at a time. This year, we actually experienced a long, cold winter like I have never seen in my thirty years of living here. We also got up into the 100s earlier than ever before. Now, there's this drought.
Then there's the unusual flurry of tornadoes, the earthquake in Japan, etc. People see what they expect to see. To many of us, some of these events seem related to solar activity or seem to simply reflect the dynamic nature of... um... nature.
For those on the fence about AGW, though, they are warning signs. Our evangelization of good sense has hit a speedbump.

Ahh, climate change. When was the climate stable and unchanging? Which is harder to deal with, a hot earth or an ice age?

Re: Dumbest Tweet Ever?
Reason # 235 why I hate Twitter: It exposes me to the idiot brains of literally millions of idiots. Good thing global warming will wipe us out in a year and a half so I won't have to deal with the horror of it all.

Re: Dumbest Tweet Ever?
That's the nice thing about global warming - one size fits all. Quite handy in an activist sort of way. Frankly, I'm surprised that Weiner didn't lay some of the blame on GW.

Pool Joan. Her fate is bound to MSNBC, whose new owner will tumble to the fact any day now that Lean Forward is something nobody is interested in looking at, and a website few visit and nobody wants to buy. Of course she's losing her wits.

Dumbest tweet ever?...
Does this rise to the level of stupidity of tweeting your bulgy undies while in public office?

Re: Dumbest Tweet Ever?
I would say that Twitter seems to be the refuge of morons and Weiners, but I have to admit there are plenty of solid folks tweeting too. Michelle Malkin for one.

Re: Dumbest Tweet Ever?
Actually the quotes should be around "global warming", and not around illegal aliens. It probably isn't the dumbest tweet, but it's at the top of the class.

D'oh! I didn't see that you got there before me. Didn't mean to steal your line.

Re: Dumbest Tweet Ever?
Just the terms Tweet an Twitter should speak to something. Since when are little birds chirping on a wire meaningfull ?
Those that study birds tell that the noises birds make are a breif territorial expression until they fly off and express elsewhere.
Makes sense for birds, Humans ?

Re: Dumbest Tweet Ever?
Global warming dogma reminds me of evolution dogma. Only a heretic would question either "fact."
How about that for a tweet? But the fact that people accept evolution without ever questioning the theory make me wonder how soon "climate change" will be accepted . . .
