Update: This Meet-up will be in the bar at the Omni-Shoreham Hotel at 10:30PM. Please join us if you can.
Just a very quick message to all Ricochet members who are here in DC at the NRI event -- or who may be in the area doing more useful things with their weekends:
After the late-night event tonight, which should end around 10:30PM, let's all meet for a drink, shall we? At the Omni Shoreham Hotel?
I just arrived about 10 minutes ago. I'm sitting here at the "media table" using Blue Yeti's laptop, so I have zero idea where to meet, but I know we'll figure it out. We're Ricochet. That's what we do.

Not to alarm you, but the hotel has dispatched room service to me 3,000 miles away and I told them to charge it to Mr. Underhill's account. The hotel front desk said they don't have a Mr. Underhill. I said charge it to Mr. Long's account instead; he produces my hit tv show.

I've been inspired to ditch the sales weasels -- in Orlando many miles away from DC -- and stage a mini-meetup with a friend of mine. Who is a Ricochetti deadbeat no more via a gift subscription, BTW.

I hope that you all have a fabulous time--now, that I'm a meet-up veteran, I know you will. I will keep my, apparently flu-shot resistant, germs at home, and have a drink for me!

Wish I could join you all, but as Daddy's out of town I've got Mommy duty tonight. And I suppose that at this time of life, DC is a world away from me out here in Fauquier County.
Alternatively, Rob, if you're hankerin' for a tour of the Manassas Battlefield Park before you leave town, I'd be honored. :)

Immediately I considered what flights were available from KC to Reagan.
Expedia told me to make dinner. Have a great meetup - yo Sisyphus !!
I can't believe that Mollie stays up that late or can find a conservative babysitter ( although I bet Jamie Gorelick owns a service ).

Wish I could, but 10:30 is waaaaaaay past my bedtime! Anyway, I hardly venture from Loudoun County to DC in the daytime, much less at night.
But if Mark Steyn is one of those special guests, I'll be sad and envious.
