Did the Chinese Acquire Ricochet?
I know that conspiracy theories are strictly forboden by Ricochet's terms of service, but this is just too important.
It used to be that in my browser's address bar I could count on seeing the logo R> before Ricochet's url.
Suddenly, almost surreptitiously, now I see a black and yellow yin yang. No explanation. The Blue Yeti is silent. Busy System Admin is too busy. No explanatory dispatch from Turkey. Just eerie, haunting silence. Has there been a coup?
I googled black and yellow yin yang and found this sweet piece of bling. And this one. And this one that apparantly goes in your tongue!
But alas - nothing about Ricochet and the Pittsburgh Steeler colored yin yang connection.
In the spirit of North African populist uprisings, I want answers! Answers to all these questions!
Why the black and yellow yin yang? What's in Marcellus Wallace's briefcase? What's in the Fed Ex package Chuck delivers after he gets off the island? Are these things related?
Don't make me send Jesse Ventura and Oliver Stone over here to figure it all out.

Re: Did the Chinese Acquire Ricochet?
I think this may be a problem on your end, its still showing on my browser ;).
You should still get Ventura to investigate this. You know, just in case.

Can't be. I'm seeing yin yang on all my computers for Ricochet.

Re: Did the Chinese Acquire Ricochet?
We know what was in the FedEx box, though substantially less heartbreaking than what was in the box intended for Detective Somerset.

Still seeing the blue R logo here. What browser are you using? I'm using IE8.

Re: Did the Chinese Acquire Ricochet?
I move we change the name of Ricochet to Ricochi … Oh, oh, I think I ran flush up against the code of conduct, which I find is a real chink in Ricochet's armour.
Re: Did the Chinese Acquire Ricochet?
No investment in Ricochet from the Chicoms or the Saudi royal family. Yet.
And my Ricochet logo remains intact here on the soggy Left Coast.
Tommy, have you considered the possibility that the People's Liberation Army has liberated your ISP?
Re: Did the Chinese Acquire Ricochet?
Maybe I've been acquired by the Chinese. I'm still getting a yellow yin yang.
I'm using IE.

Re: Did the Chinese Acquire Ricochet?
Recently switched from Chrome back to Firefox after a long absence. No unexpected yin yangs on either browser.

I have seen a couple of instances of similar problems resulting from malware. Try running a Malwarebytes scan. It can't hurt.

Re: Did the Chinese Acquire Ricochet?
Nothing changed on our end. It's probably one of those Internet flukes. You know, someone connected the wrong tube up somewhere.
It is a bit frustrating sometimes working on a web platform, because we don't have any control over the client's end (the browser). But we do our best ;-)

Re: Did the Chinese Acquire Ricochet?
I have the Logo on IE. I do suspect spyware/malware. I've seen those hijacked before for some sites when I had a problem I was otherwise unaware of. Run some scans on all of your machines.
