Re: Deja Windbaggery
I mentioned this on Peter's thread about the SOTU. While watching the video I noticed for the first time that Obama does this shuffle thing when he's talking. It's hard to describe but you seem drop a couple inches and then he shuffles and turns his torso towards the right (he may also turn left). Maybe I noticed this because last week I was sick on the couch and saw a History Channel program about body language and now I'm sensitive to every gesture. I wonder what it means.

Re: Deja Windbaggery
I knew I didn't need to listen to SOTU to already know what he was going to say... Thanks for providing proof.

That is the same stuff I didn't hear last year.

That looks like hard work. He should probably take another vacation.

Re: Deja Windbaggery
This is exactly what the Republican nominee should focus on in the main election. Go on offense by using Obama's own words against him. Then provide an optimistic and sensible alternative future.

Re: Deja Windbaggery
I showed this video to multiple people today in the office with positive reactions even from a couple moderates that thought it funny but felt guilty for being fooled. Obama has a way of tranquilizing people with his speech that fools anyone who is not in tune with his deceptions. The man NEEDS to be deconstructed for moderates to fully see. We lose this election otherwise no matter which flawed candidate we endorse.

Re: Deja Windbaggery
Hence the reason viewership was down 12% from last year. Americans know what he is going to say and know that his actions don't match his rhetoric. Heck, my husband of the Great Squishy Middle is firmly in the ABO camp, so I am now convinced that unless Obama steals the election, he is finished.

I love this formulation: deconstruct the President! It is a job screaming for someone to do it... I think Gingrich is the only candidate who will be able to pull it off... I hope...

If only we had a nominee that could make this case.

Re: Deja Windbaggery
Words? Just words? With Obama, they never mean what his audience thinks they mean. And that's just the way he likes it.

I was absolutely amazed at the quality of this and how fast the RNC got it out. It's especially delicious given how much Obama himself hyped this SOTU speech, with a preview video and everything.
