Re: Daily Poll Update: Feinstein Looking Strong
Emken has a massive name recognition problem. When I read about her during the primary, I was very impressed with her as a candidate. That said, I still find conservative friends giving me bewildered looks when I mention her name.

Re: Daily Poll Update: Feinstein Looking Strong
My heart just skipped a beat seeing McKenna up. He's no rock-ribbed conservative, but he's better than the feckless crap weasel that has misrepresented me in congress since I've lived here.

Agreed about Emken.
Even RCP gives no hope with their average 20 point lead for the incumbent Feinstein.

Re: Daily Poll Update: Feinstein Looking Strong
I'm going out on a limb, and calling the California race for Feinstein.

The McKenna stat is encouraging. Everything I've heard about Inslee makes me cringe... The AFSCME newsletter sings his praises far and wide.

Re: Daily Poll Update: Feinstein Looking Strong
Gallup, which posts each day's results at 1PM Eastern, just did so. It shows no change: Romney 50, Obama 47.
Needle doesn't appear to be moving Obama's direction.

No one ever accused the Ricochetti of lack of courage.

It's encouraging to see McKenna up! We voted as a family last week and despite our disagreements on the President, all five of us checked McKenna for governor.

Love the headline. Very MSM.

What's even more interesting about the Wa Governor poll is that McKenna is leading among women. Romney has erased the gender gap with Obama. Mollie was really onto something after the VP debate. I feel a tidal shift.

KP, if you go by Inslee's ads, you'd think McKenna was sheet wearin' hillbilly. But I'm with you. Totally excited to see McKenna pull ahead and I hope and pray he wins. He's a bit (well, a lot) squishy but he's smart and I think he's honest and has the good of the state at heart.

Mollie
I do believe that was the most meanest thing I have seen from you .

Re: Daily Poll Update: Feinstein Looking Strong
No kidding! That's excellent news! McKenna and I do not see eye-to-eye on many issues, but we have to start somewhere in getting out state turned around.

Re: Daily Poll Update: Feinstein Looking Strong
Glad to hear McKenna is indeed getting some crossover votes! I've been hoping that those who pulled the lever for him in 2008 while voting for Obama would choose to vote for McKenna again this year.

Re: Daily Poll Update: Feinstein Looking Strong
i've been wondering about Emken, if she is even campaigning. i have seen no ads for her on tv or internet. i will vote for her regardless, and if republican turnout in ca is high perhaps it won't be as bad as it looks now. it is sad that a woman in early middle age can't have a good chance of beating a nearly 80 year old incumbent.

Several of my Democratic friends have admitted to voting Obama/McKenna. It's going to be a close one. Let's hope it's not a repeat of the nightmare that was the gubernatorial race of 2004.
