Any excuse to post this cute li' fella.

Talk about no upbringing. Who's in charge over there? This couple did it once, then had another, then another. They sold all of them, one by one. They weren't making a lot on each but evidently it was all about volume. It's approaching Katherine Dunne's  Geek Love where a family of circus freaks injested Drain-o and other toxins as part of their prenatal care to try to produce revenue generating offspring for the family business.

How are the parents not arrested and imprisoned with the children taken from them by the State?  I thought that's how things got done in a Communist/Socialist country?  Oh.  Wait.  No, that's our country.  Never mind.

It is actually just about similar to our inner cities.  I had the odd experience of delivering the 8th child of a 20 year old woman.  No man around the OB ward of course yet the promise of more payment would occasionally bring a father to the pediatric ward where the child , boy or girl, would receive the exalted title of "check".

How is bringing a fatherless child in to an impoverished ignorant existence with menial work at best and more likely incarceration the outcome, OK somehow.  Yet our society continues to tacitly endorse this travesty,"in the name of the children", by fiscally encouraging this lifestyle choice.

Selling kids for texas holdem actually feels a few rungs higher on the moral ladder than what is commonplace in the US.

Hopefully the Murphy Brown years are behind us. Fathers mean everything.

I live next to a casino and am a lifelong Raiders fan.  This basically means I'm like  Cuban in Miami just waiting for Castro to die.  We should both save our money this year.

Who will live longer?  Al Davis or Fidel Castro.  That would be a great prop bet.

I actually read it many years ago.  It is truly strange and I would not recommend it.

Anne, however, does not necessarily blame the families who take to selling their children as much as she does the Chinese government.

"That is more the fault of their [expletive] government than a video game addiction.

When asked to comment on her history with video games, Anne was very open about her experience.

"I used to be [addicted], but not any longer; that was years ago," she said. "I would skip school and steal my mom's money to buy items in game for this one game I was addicted to," Anne confessed. She then added, "I was also a stupid teenager back then."

Thanks for the links. That was from the second one. I can understand most addictions. I used to joke that I couldn't pass up a french fry on a parking lot. You know, you walk out of McDonald's with take out and one falls out of the bag. You think about picking it up. An addiction to video games is very strange to me.
