Judith and I both really appreciated all your kind comments about our podcast and our Arab uprising updates. We know you had your choice of pundits this week, and speaking for the entire Ricochet Flight Crew, we want to thank you for flying with us.

If I may be so immodest as to say so, I think you made the right choice, because never in my life have I heard so many pundits talk so much smack as I have these past weeks. At least Judith and I are willing to admit what we don't know.

However, do give Paul Krugman credit: This is the wisest thing he's ever said

 Thank YOU for a great podcast with Judith - listened closely while I worked out on a rowing machine (and therefore didn't have to count reps).  Hoping to drag some less political family members into becoming fans of you both and of Ricochet.  My only problem is living near the bottom of the tech foodchain and sometimes finding it difficult to download the podcasts through iTunes.  <sigh>  Return with updates!

If only Paul Krugman were always so wise . . .

 And thank you, Ricochet, for having the forsight to post a contributor way off to the east somewhere.  It gives us early-rising folk something to read while we wait for the California contingent to recover from the previous night's debauch.

I downloaded the special podcast to listen to later at work.  But events are moving so darn fast.

As someone living to the east of the east cost, I'm sure my experience of Ricochet is different from those to the west. I call it the 'Wall of Claire' effect.

(Not a bad thing, I hasten to add. It does mean I don't get to most of the Palin threads until there are already 80-odd comments, though...)

Two comments on Krugman and one on our flight:

  1. Would that he could simply file that same column every day on every topic he writes about;
  2. Krugman being right may be a biblical sign of the the end of the world;
  3. Make sure everyone puts their trays in the upright position;

Fantastic podcast, Claire!

It's only a few days old, but given recent events it's time for an update.  When can we expect one?

Claire, you and Judith really have to make this a regular or at least recurring feature. I know the pacing and vibe is completely different from the more guy's garage feel of the regular weekly podcast, but so what? The key is whether you have an audience or not. I think you do.

I agree wholeheartedly. One week is too long between podcasts anyway.  It would be nice to get a third voice in there though -- it just makes for a different dynamic -- all the better if it were also a female voice.

Three cheers for both Judith and Claire!  I probably wouldn't know as much as I know now unless it was for the podcast and for Claire's posts pointing to information to read.  I still have a lot of back-posts to read, but keep the info and analysis coming.

Oh my goodness...I've been out and about all day, away from the computer, and just popped in to Ricochet to see what was cooking before hitting the sack -- and found this lovely thread. I'm all blushy now.

I loved talking to Claire -- I always love talking to Claire -- and would be thrilled to make it a recurring feature. Thanks, guys.
