Burn More Flags
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. From Forbes:
A Pakistani man, one of approximately 10,000 people participating in an anti-American rally has died. The cause of death? Complications from inhaling smoke after burning an American flag. The Express Tribune, a Pakistani newspaper affiliated with The International Herald Tribune (“The Global Edition of The New York Times”) reported:
"One of the participants of the rally, Abdullah Ismail, passed away after he was taken to Mayo Hospital. Witnesses said he had complained of feeling unwell from the smoke from US flags burnt at the rally."
The rally is part of protests, organized by Jamaat-Ud-Dawa, the political arm of the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Finally! Burning the American flag is something we can all get behind. Maybe we should pitch in and send them more.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy indeed, especially since these maniacs seems to think that embassy burning an Olympic sport.
Is it a coincidence that after a weak US reaction to last year sacking of the Israeli embassy the maniacs are trying to torch down the US embassy ?

Re: Burn More Flags
Simply amazing. One that there is a news article with this in it . 2. That an affiliate of IHT actually appears to have reported something without editorializing. I first moved overseas in 1961, and my favorite newspaper from then was the IHT. Great news reporting, really good writing, international understanding etc. etc. Even when it ws jointly owned by Wash. Post and NYT, it retained it's essential strong qualities - albeit with a left leaning editorial bent (offset by Sir Charles). Within 3 months of NYT taking sole control, I canceled my subscription. My rejection has been reinforced whenever I picked up the paper in CDG, or other airports in transit where they have them for free.
To have unvarnished fact published by an affiliate of NYT is nothing short of a breakthrough! Well done! Perhaps we are turning a corner.....or maybe not.

Awesome. Hate destroys the people who hate definitely, others not always. It's always good to see a tangible example, though.

How much you wanna make a ten dollar bet that our EPA and Consumer Protection Agency will now mandate warning labels on flags? 'cuz it's not Ismail's fault, it's America's. It's always America's.
