Rod Dreher is back, ladies and gentlemen, and better than ever, as the editor of the very excellent-looking Big Questions Online. The site, dedicated to "exploring human purpose and ultimate reality, with a focus on science, religion, markets, and morals," has just made its debut. You should be sure to check it out; with offerings from the likes of Roger Scruton and Robby George, and with Rod weighing in on the great Are Parents Happy? debate, I have a feeling I'll be dropping in daily on BQO.

Re: Big Questions Online
Excellent. I got drawn into the John Templeton Foundation "Big Question" essay series a year or two ago, on the question of whether the universe has a purpose. I enjoyed other essays in that series as well. Here's hoping that BQO stays fresh, deep, serious and insightful.

As someone said, when you raise children, you're also raising your grandchildren's parents, so do a good job and your grandchildren will appreciate it even if your children don't seem to.

Re: Big Questions Online
Wow! Great site. They certainly are not afraid to address some "big questions", including Is God A Person?
Well worth a read if you are interested in that sort of thing, but make sure you are really "interested in that sort of thing" as the author (who I take to be Robert Lawrence Kuhn) does not make the common mistake of trying to simplify a difficult question for the readers. The Kuhn's post is apparently related to a television series beginning soon on PBS. Let's hope it hold to the high standards shown here.
The post appears on Heather Wax's blog, titled Science + Religion Today. Heather is an editor at Science and Spirit, one of the very few magazines to which I still subscribe. This "first edition" of BQO look very enticing indeed!

Cool site. I'll add it to my ever-growing collection of neglected bookmarks.
