If the individual holding up this piece of paper were 35 and interested in a job that pays well and includes nice perks, he/she would have my vote for president . . .

Question:

If "Occupy Wall Street" continues, are we going to start seeing a counter-counter movement - "Not the 99%"?

Yes.

It's called "We are The 53%", meaning the ones who pay Federal income taxes for the 47% who pay no Federal income taxes.

Well, there's #Iamthe53.  But so far, it's solely an internet phenomenon.

Does this motivational photo come in poster-size as well?  Wouldn't mind one for my room...

So . . . at some point, will money on the right coalesce and turn an Internet movement into something more shoe leather?

Or, is the better play to leave "Occupy" alone and assume it collapses under its own weight of mixed messages and conflicting/conflicted protestors?

No, there will not be a counter movement.  We are too busy earning a living.

Hasn't yet happened with Marxism/Socialism/Obama.

The counter counter movement already exists - it's called the Tea Party. Maybe not 99% - maybe 70%? - enough to get Mr Cain elected.

Why doesn't the Tea Party organize a "Wash Wall Street" day and clean up after these slobs?

Just saying......

Perhaps an enterprising Wall Street firm with a suitable sense of irony will hold a job fair across the street.....

 Crow's Nest,

Dennis Miller beat you to it on this one, except he posed it as a way to instantly clear the park.

Bruce,

Thanks for the heads up. I'd retract my statement, but I don't have that function on Safari for some reason....

Anyway, I currently stationed in a place where I don't subscribe to FOX (the cable operator doesn't carry it, and satellite is ridiculous), and I don't normally listen to Dennis' radio show (but have generally liked him when he's been on Hannity in the past). In any event, wasn't trying to rip somebody else's material.

Kudos to you, Dennis.

My fiance and I wanted to head over to our own city's Occupy event, mainly to watch it be terrible. Funny enough, the facebook page organizing it had a man and his bride begging the occupiers to postpone the protest, since the spot the occupiers picked was where this couple were getting married. The occupiers thought the wedding would make a great backdrop, making the occupation a celebration. Of course, it's about them, not the guy who's spent the last year of his life waiting for this day!

But they agreed to wait. Plus, the occupation is competing with a Methodist church holding a fundraiser nearby. They're selling artisan chocolate to help with literacy in the city. A beautiful exercise in contrasts, no?

But, alas, I can neither protest nor eat chocolate. I've taken up a second job on the weekends to help pay down graduate school debt. I guess that's kind of Dennis' point, right?
