I am in a German-speaking country right now and, thanks to this video, I finally know what a rush of honest-to-goodness shadenfreude feels like.

Well, the Constitution doesn't allow for a co-presidency.  But under the circumstances, I'm inclined to look the other way...

Wow.  Apparently Obama had about enough of Bubba during their meeting.  Mr Smooth.  Smart Power.

Did he just hand over the reins of power to Clinton, technically?  It's a bloodless coup.

Up next, White House call-forwards the 3am phone call to the Secretary of State's husband.

"Wow" is right. I wonder who will be the next "guest host". I guess the WH press knows where they rank on the President's priorities list now, not that there was much doubt.

This does not look like the actions of a man maneuvering to build his case for 2012.

On the other hand, it seems likely that President Obama scares easy.

This press conference may illuminate a new predilection on the part of Obama  to "punt" on fourth and long ...

Good.

Damn, he's a sly one. I knew he would wangle his way back in the White House somehow. Now try getting him to leave. We tried to once but the best we could do was impeach him.

Whoever thought this was a good idea in the White House should be fired immediately.

This makes Obama look small.

Imagine if Bush 43 had Bush 41 come in and endorse something awful that Bush did (pretty much every day). It would be like the Daddy coming in and saying "Everything's going to be OK, Daddy is here now. I know you don't trust Junior here (and you have no reason to) but this is a good thing my son did."

It was ridiculous political theater and the (hopefully) the end of the Obama Presidency. But don't count that out...Chicago politics...

Rather than feel schadenfreude, I am hoping this is the Gotterdammerung of the Dems (yeah, I'm too lazy to figure out how to make umlauts and I'm not using the "e" substitute).

Is gotterdammerung allowed by the Code of Conduct?

Things I wish I'd said dept: "He can't even vote present any more."  An Ace of Spades commenter had a nice Nielsen-inspired reference to the autopilot, though went into too much detail about how to inflate it.

This makes Obama look small.

Do you think next time he'll be joined by Paul Schaeffer and the Letterman show band?

Obama is phoning it in now. The job might have been big enough for a Clinton, but it hasn't stretched him. The man's bored, simple as that. As for why he went inside, my guess is it was to find a mirror.

You can't really blame Obama for hoofing it chop chop back to the ball and chain.  Can you imagine what Michelle's "Oh no you diien't" scowl must be like?

Also, is it me or does Clinton look about 80 years old?  I've got guys in the cooler at the funeral home that look healthier than he does.

Are any of them qualified to be President? We may need some more options.

Sounds like Obama is about to give his Ich bin ein Verlierer address.

Wouldn't help in the election, the Democrats have the dead vote pretty well sewed up already.

Clinton loves to be the center of attention, but I got the distinct impression that Obama was treating Bill and the WH Press Corps in a really shabby way:

"You're just oozing with greasy, hillbilly charm, Billy-boy.  You talk to these guys.  I can't even stand to look at 'em, much less listen to their annoying questions.  And don't forget to leave by the back door."

Make no mistake about it; Obama is a mean little —.  There is no warmth in him.

Bill Clinton is dying.  Seriously.  I spent a year working in a hospital.  Clinton definitely has the look of a man who is gravely ill.  The weak voice, sunken cheeks and shrunken neck are very telling.
