Okay. The other woman in the now-iconic White House situation room photo

Had anyone ever heard of "Audrey Tomason, Director for Counterterrorism" before?

Is that the only extant photo or reference to her in the entire world?

Harvard, Tufts (Fletcher?), and Americorps.

Resume building in order to become Director of Counter Terrorism ? A czarina ?

Is this our Rosa Klemp.

I believe the correct title is "Czarina of Counter-Person-Caused-Disasters".

perhaps "Spinmeister to Benefit the Anointed One Without Having to Pass Muster With Any of Those Annoying Elected Representatives Over Man-Caused Disasters?"

Perhaps it's just me, but she doesn't even look old enough to vote.

Wow!  And she wrangles people like ‘Jack Bauer’?

Did she wander in from the local High School tour, by taking a wrong turn?

Well, whilst there are Czar crowns to be had, pass one over this way. I am partial to being Crown Prince of Livonia myself.

She's part of the new Facebook arm of counterintelligence. And Claire when you said "other woman" did you mean "other woman" or, ya know, "other woman"? Its important to have clarity in these matters.

I'm wondering this myself.

So, as long as we're identifying the people in the situation room, who are these people ?

This from Tufts:

"Audrey Tomason worked as Americorps*VISTA and Associate at ACCION International after Tufts. She is attending the Kennedy School's master's in public policy program and is scheduled to graduate in 2003."

Seriously?

Sure Audrey's a she? The name Audrey is either/or, no? Like Dana. Maybe Audrey's one of those boys who looks like girls.

Anyhow, the snapshot reminds me of Blackadder's sidekick.

I'm getting a Mary Gross (SNL, 80's) vibe from her.

She's a man baby! That's what Austin Powers would say, anyway... She does look like a gender confused teen.

So Director for Counterterrorism is an internship position?

One would think, based on her bio.

Is a public policy major with a penchant for volunteerism the best we can do for this?  One would think we'd be looking to fill that position from, oh, I don't know, the FBI, BATFE, CIA, NSA, somewhere like that.  But no.  We went academic.

Michael Leiter is the Director at the National Counterterrorism Center, an Executive office, so in what capacity is this lady the Director for Counterterrorism?

Maybe she's the real deal, and is kept out of site to avoid politicization?

I can't even find what office she's supposed to work in, so I don't know.

The Executive Office of the President doesn't have a listing for her position or title, even under the National Security Council page.  A search just produces the same thing to which Claire's linked above, and a little information on John Brennan, who's the "Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism".

That place has more titles than a Shriner's Temple.
