Unless my demands are met, I'm going to burn a copy of There is No Alternative: Why Margaret Thatcher Matters at 0700 tomorrow, EST. I'll also be burning Free to Choose, The Road to Serfdom, and The Wealth of Nations. If I'm feeling really frisky I may follow this by frying a few volumes of Public Choice.
If that's what it takes to make free-market conservatives go berserk, that's what it takes. (Apparently, the words "another round of stimulus funding" didn't do the job.)

Living about 60 miles from Fred Phelps and his merry band of insane, we don't take kindly to interloping wannabes, tell you what : Grudge Match at the Grange Hall at High Noon. Your Hayek , Adam Smith, whatever.... We're bringing in the Big Dogs : Galbraith, Keynes.. You haven't fat sizzle until you've seen a copy of the Little Red Book fry !
How do we get the media there ? There might be some Quran fatigue.
How about a scholarship lottery and reception for local CBC reps ?

Claire, I'm willing to join you on this, but so many of my books are on Kindle now, burning seems a bit extreme. I am, however, prepared to allow my battery to run out on camera. Hope this helps.

Claire, as a small-government type I must warn you that burning those books could result in your beheading. Not a threat, mind you, just a reminder that insensitive behavior has... unfortunate consequences.
I'm willing to be the bigger person and not commit violence if only you'll behave in exactly the manner I demand. Seems fair!

Claire: I have a first edition in hardback (and I've actually read and recommend it highly). I consider myself a pioneer among those who have discovered the Berlinski brand (I've even read one of your father's books).
Do I still have to buy a paperback? I will if I have to.
