I only just this minute realized this, but today's date is--get ready--10/10/10.

If you happen to be in Las Vegas, go directly to the roulette table and place all your chips on the big one-oh. Then? Contribute your winnings to the Republican candidate of your choice.

Or maybe in 2010 expect 10 new Republican governors and 10 new Republican senators.

I like Scott's idea!

I also thought about running out to Viejas, dropping some coin on the roulette wheel, then racing back to evening services. Hmmm. Maybe I better leave Viejas out of it--no time.

Ever heard of online betting?

You might as well encourage every single One of Us to bet the farm "on the big one-oh,"

Come to think about it, We already have placed all Our chips "on the big one: O[bama]."

And We All know how that worked out...

I was in Vegas on 8/8/08. Lots of weddings. It was the 20th anniversary of the first night game at Wrigley Field (8/8/88). There may be something to the betting scheme, I ended that week $500 up...blew it on shows and gourmet food, though.

What's a bigger gamble? Putting your money into roulette hoping the number 10 will come up, or giving it to a Republican candidate in the hope he'll be a true conservative once he's in office?

And, as I saw pointed out elsewhere, 101010(binary) is 42(decimal) the answer to life, the universe, and... everything, just everthing!
