I love Twitter. It is a fine simulation of communication without the messy parts.

Re: Animal Farm in Two Tweets
You alluded to "Animal Farm." In recent posts, I have alluded to "1984" and "Lord of the Flies." "Twitterspeak" ? Is this where we are headed?

I grew up on Sullivan's Island, SC. I grew up surfing and swimming and sailing and rinsing off with the hose and catching shrimp with a cast net.
It never occurred to me to read "Democracy in America" until I saw what was being done to the minutae in my life.
This is how democracy dies : little freedom(tweet) by little freedom(tweet) until it is all "Twittered" away. God help us.

Can we please stop paying attention to anonymous Twitter posts? They're about as relevant. valid and substantive as the ravings of a bag lady.

Oh, I disagree with you there.
