Angry Mobsters
Suddenly, I’ve been hit with a case of déjà vu. I know I’ve seen this picture before. A so-called Astroturf movement plagued with raucous, angry mobs, using the tools of violent rhetoric and Nazi references.
None of this was true with regard to the Tea Party movement but wishful thinking on the part of the left! Well, congratulations, lefties! All of your dreams have come true in downtown Madison where the Wisconsin Union Rebellion is taking place!
- Astroturf support from Organizing for America and MoveOn.org, including pre-printed signs, t-shirts and organized chants.
- Printed posters of Governor Walker with a Hitler mustache AND a Swastika underneath—the double “Nazi reference” whammy.
- Chants of “Kill the Bill” and the President crying that this is an “assault” on the unions—heated rhetoric inciting violence. The President’s statement was undoubtedly a clarion call to muster the troops: shortly after he issued this veiled directive, Organizing for America and MoveOn.org went into full war machine mode busing union troops to Madison and sending out instructive e-mails to their memberships.
- Raucous crowds blocking passage into government buildings, beating on drums and screaming in the gallery of the Senate building. Could these be the sounds of an angry mob?
Let’s not forget that Wisconsin’s Democrat Senators went AWOL when it was time to vote, clearly taking their cues from the U.S. Senators and Congressmen who went MIA during the healthcare debates, refusing to meet with constituents.
Wisconsin’s Democrat Senators might want to look over their shoulders around election time.

Re: Angry Mobsters
Bear in mind, there are actual training programs for "grassroots advocates." Essentially they teach how to target vulnerable politicians then jerk them around by stirring things up. I would speculate that there are a large number of trained provacateurs in that crowd in Madison.

I'd hate to see what the washroom facilities look like.

Re: Angry Mobsters
Conservatives are well aware how the fight is waged with a set of double standards. We are quite used to it now. The left is animated by raw emotion and sees nothing inconsistent or illogical in their response. After all, they've been trained to think that Republicans are motivated by greed, malice, and stupidity. We are not merely wrong; in their eyes we are evil.
Obama's plan to "fundamentally change America" is nothing less than a socialist putsch. Revolution is always carried out in the name of the masses, but the results always favor the party elites. It's an old playbook. If only leftists would read history other than Howard Zinn. They would understand that public employee unions serve the same fuction as the Bolshevik cadres of 1917. Power to the people quickly morphs into power to the party - a new privileged elite.
The error in Marxism is that the urban proletariat never rallied to the communist banner. Despite Marxist theory, communism only took root where it could be imposed on a poor, ignorant, agrarian population. The United States is not soviet Russia or communist China. The theory fails and so will the attempt to impose it.

Scott Walker has given me an image I will carry to my grave. State troopers hunting Democrat legislators across the fruited plain. Smells like deadlock to me.
Gosh. No Dems in the legislature, no Dems in the classrooms, I think there's a model here we should try to duplicate.

Re: Angry Mobsters
It's not astroturf when they do it. It's not an angry mob when they do it. According to the MSM's Propaganda for Dummies handbook, those terms can only apply to right wing protests.

Re: Angry Mobsters
This time the fruited plains are stacked with Hooter like babes--not that there's anything wrong w/ that--but what a way to go down. Maybe in some sense, they knew they were going to go down and decided you might as well go down surrounded by babes, decent food and good drink.
But you are all right--this entire Rebellion is driven by Marxist ideology, it is what Obama's transformation has intended from the start, hence, his ready defense of the unions. But because the majority of People in this country see the union bosses exactly for what they are and the unions as a substitute for the ruling party, it will not stick. It's the first glimmer of hope that I've had in a while that O might not be re-elected. Put in the right candidate, we can win.

Re: Angry Mobsters
I'm afraid anyone but the right candidate will probably lose.
His job approval rating should be near or under 40, but it isn't. Instead it is near 50 (current RCP average 49.5). This doesn't make sense to me and it is not encouraging.
I'll be looking to see if sticking his nose in the middle of this drives down his approval numbers.

Re: Angry Mobsters
If one must take stands, best to take them surrounded by sweet young things waiting on one hand and foot. Beats the heck out of a smelly old legislative chamber. They'll be fine until the spouses catch up with them.
