Andrew Breitbart on Uncommon Knowledge
The tremendous work that Andrew Breitbart accomplished for the conservative cause is all the more remarkable when you consider that he really only became a household name for us conservatives over the past three years.
In April, 2009, while I was working on Uncommon Knowledge, Peter Robinson booked Andrew to appear for an interview. Though Andrew had already established Breitbart.com and Big Government, he hadn't yet become the superstar he would later become, as evidenced by the beginning of segment three in the interview where Peter introduces Andrew as “one of the ten most important people in the media that nobody’s ever met.” To the day he died, Andrew remained one of ten most important people in media, but he was so generous with his time that many of us were fortunate enough to meet him.
The interview itself was great. Andrew's sense of humor and big personality were truly unrivaled, and will be sorely missed.
Peter had Andrew on Uncommon Knowledge again last June. Here's a link to that interview.

I remember this and was quite impressed.
This guy was so right about Hollywood movies and the effect it has on the rest of the world. Having lived among Europeans for quite a while, all I can say is that Breitbart hit the nail on the head with this topic.
Every negative portrayal of the United States in any Hollywood film has a twofold effect in European countries. It feeds an already extreme and terribly unjust prejudice towards Americans.
I wonder if Hollywood is really conscious of this result, and who can fill Breitbart´s shoes to counter this?

I was reading the second paragraph of this post and didn't even finish. I stopped and went straight to my iTunes queue, and found this nearly 3 year old video (yes, I have kept all of these downloads), and discovered that I had never watched it. 31 minutes later, I am better for rediscovering the interview... I see that had I hit 'Read More', I could have watched the embedded video.
Now off to watch last year's UC, and then off to Youtube.
Sorrow is made better through reliving happier memories...
