A Toast to Ricochet
Two days ago, gripped by the delirium that followed Romney's announcement that Paul Ryan would round out his ticket, I posted an article on Ricochet's Member Feed praising Ryan for his Reaganesque qualities. That was that--or so I thought.
I received a call from Ernest Istook's radio show--Istook Live!--later that day. They asked me to be on the show to discuss my article and flesh out some of my arguments. I did so this morning.
On the show, I emphasized Ryan's prudent statesmanship, attempted to disarm some of the conservative criticisms that have been lobbed his way, and praised him for his ability to meld principle and policy in a palatable way. Hopefully conservatives everywhere are forming, or perhaps even deepening, their love affair with the Romney-Ryan ticket.

Istook asked for a plug, but it was for Hillsdale's online Constitution Courses. I panicked. What can I say other than that maybe it was the lack of a grande latte that caused me to stumble?

It's even less if you pay the one-year up-front price. As I have said many times, subscribe annually and avoid the volatility of the coffee market!
