A Southern California Ricochet Meetup
All right, west coasters, it's time to show our eastern brethren how a Ricochet meetup is really done.
Ricochet member FeliciaB has asked me to announce that she's planning a Southern California Ricochet meetup to be held at 6 PM on Saturday, February 25. The event will take place in Orange County, at the Maggiano's at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa (information about the venue can be found here).
I will be in attendance and I'm hoping that the location -- which provides access from both Los Angeles and San Diego -- will mean as many of our local members and contributors as possible will be there as well. I recommend direct messaging Felicia if you have any questions.
By the way, I'd also like to assure my southern brothers and sisters amongst the Ricochetoise that I haven't forgotten about you. I plan on being back in Nashville within the next few months and am hoping we can have a meetup then. Given that Music City is pretty geographically central to the region, I'm hoping we'll be able to welcome members from throughout the Southeast. Look for an announcement on this in the next few months.

Better to fly into John Wayne Airport (SNA) if you can which is only about 5 minutes from the Restaurant and the South Coast Plaza shopping center in Costa Mesa.

It's time that Etoile du Nord and I set up a meeting so we can finish the boxing match we started last week when.he wondered out loud if I was really a conservative, or a sock puppet (not in those words).
But I won't do so until John Hinderaker and Sir James Lileks announce their availability dates and promise to come.
I'm guessing that my next actual meet-up will have to be in the UK......

BTW, I think that Troy needs to do his Southern meet-up for him and Songwriter at Pigeon Forge, more centralized for Kennedy Smith, and with a possibility of demanding attendance by Glenn Reynolds.... he can film an InstaVision there!

You know how cold it is up North. We've been having perfect weather in South Florida. Jet Blue and everybody else has discount rates to Miami, Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
As long as it's not on Saturday (Shabbos) I can help. Actually the Rabbi's drusha (sermon) is electric and kiddush (buffet lunch) is absolutely the best so you could hang out with me on Saturday too.

FYI - watch the Member Feed for soon-to-be-released news of the next meetup in the Atlanta-Athens, Georgia area. Alas, I will be attending a fundraiser for a very worthy local cause so everyone will have to make do with a bunch of Georgians' watered-down notions of liberty.
