Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
I for one donated $100 this morning. Even with my wife out of work and recovering from knee replacement surgery (the reason she's out of work), this was too important.
We've just been redefined from "citizens" to "subjects." Appalling.

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
Sure, he'll repeal it if it's the cool thing to do, but will he repeal if simply because it's the right thing to do?

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
As I mentioned in another thread, at this point I am trying to decide whether to donate to the Romney campaign or the Seasteading Institute. I am leaning toward the latter.

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
If a Republican Congress puts a repeal on his desk, he will sign it.

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
Romney is the only new hire that small business can afford. At least they don't have to pay for his healthcare.

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
It is possible that he will repeal it because (whatever he thought in MA) he now recognizes that it is horrible for the economy.

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
Honestly, I don't care either way. As long as he'll repeal it. That's what ultimately, matters yeah?

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
And to Diane's post - I've never donated to a campaign before (hey...I'm only 28!), but that will change today.

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
Well I sent him 25$ after I learned of this decision. I think we really need to put our money were our mouths are. I'm a graduate student I don't make a lot of money so if I am mad enough to fork over 25 bucks you guys with real jobs should easily be able to put down that much at least. (I am not a Romney campaign worker by the way)

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
I just made my first-ever campaign contribution. When the contributions for this day are totaled, I'll be proud to be part of today's take. Thanks, Diane, for inspiring me!

I just made my first donation in my 36 years of voting. There is a price we will not pay!

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
This is money down the drain. Romney may or may not sign a repeal and he has no shortage of funds. The Senate and House are where hopes lies if it lies anywhere. For myself I'm doubling down on Tea Party challengers, in state, out of state, anywhere they have a chance or even if they don't.

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
You and me better make sure that Romney has some coattails. From the top of the ticket on down, nothing can be done halfheartedly. Romney's success (or failure) will affect those further down the ticket. It always does.

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
Generally agree. I gave to Romney, but my money is going to the house and particularly the SENATE races.
Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
I'm with you. Made my first-ever donation to a presidential candidate just a few moments ago. You all inspired me.

Re: A Silver Lining for Romney
Just put my Debit Card where my mouth is. First time ever giving money for a President. If today doesn't inspire me to crack open the wallet for a presidential vote. What should?

this obamacare decision actually helps ted cruz and all the other tea party candidates.
