A Note of Partisan Gratitude
What a a wondrous delight to share the last week with the Ricochet community. I have been fascinated with the courteous and cerebral dialogue on cultural and political issues.
Thank you for the kudos, the polite disagreements and allowing this Republican - as it's quite clear I am not a conservative - to write, share and learn.
The election in November is critically important. The discourse here should be a standard for all interested in contributing to preserving and protecting the nation we all hold dear. Democrats would be wise to reach across the aisle here, rather than where they know it is futile.
This week has humbled me and given me great hope for a long list of victorious candidates but most important: ideas.
Many thanks to you all.

That sounds pretty conservative to me...
"Democrats would be wise to reach across the aisle here, rather than where they know it is futile." - Um, I don't think Democrats want to reach across the aisle. Neither do I think they are wise.
That maybe makes me more conservative.

Re: A Note of Partisan Gratitude
Thanks for being here...but the way "opponents" have been treated by the head of the Democrat Party (i.e. public spankings issued to Paul Ryan and the Supremes come to mind), many of us have had the opinion that when we "reach across the aisle" to this bunch, we withdraw a bloody stump.
I side with Churchill:
"What kind of people do they think we are? Is it possible that they do not realize that we shall never cease to persevere against them until they have been taught a lesson which they and the world will never forget?"

I beg to differ! You certainly appear to be a fiscal conservative and I thoroughly enjoyed your posts. Thank you.
