A Magnum-ficent 'Stache

Previous discussions of staches have highlighted the venerable John Bolton's and whether David Weprin lost a race because of his. Here is another 'stache worthy of veneration, particularly for the ladies- a little light-hearted fun, courtesy of VodkaPundit:

Instructables.com: How to Grow and Maintain a Manly Moustache
The tips are common sense.
The language is hilarious.

Aside: In the realm of magnificent Hollywood 'staches, Tom Skerritt doesn't get enough recognition.
Poor Skerritt, forced to live in the shadows of Burt Reynolds and Tom Selleck.
It breaks my heart.

Sam Elliott has the perfect 'stache. Beards are better.
America won't be whole again until we elect a President with facial hair.

Re: A Magnum-ficent 'Stache
I respectfully disagree. Elliot's 'stache crosses the line into self-parody.
The Selleck/Reynolds/Skerritt 'stache is thick and intimidating, but also trimmed and conservatively groomed. It's like a torrent of pent-up fury held in check solely by the force of mantastic willpower.
Elliot's 'stache, on the other hand, looks like it has jumped the fence when Elliot was looking the other way and is about to ruin the homestead's vegetable garden.

I so like this! Sam Elliott has the mantastic voice.

Thomas Dewey destroyed the concept of a President with facial hair.

Re: A Magnum-ficent 'Stache
Dewey's mustache was terrible. It was hardly mantastic.

We need De Seno to chime in on this one.

I bet TS 'Stache is more upset that His Son, Tom Skerritt, gets more recognition than Him.

My first thought was that you were referring to Hernando, whose facial hair is magnificent, but whose opinions on politics are hardly relevant. ;-)

When I was young, my grandmother used to wear a t-shirt all the time with a picture of Tom Selleck on it. Just a picture of good ol' Magnum P.I. printed right there on the front.
Always made me laugh.

Bizarrely, I think there is actually some wisdom in that remark.
My caveat: suitably manly facial hair excludes the neard. After all, we're conservatives. We have standards.

One of my first jobs was working at a Texas-chain grocery store which had a policy against any facial hair except for mustaches. Consequently, nearly every man working at the store had a 'stache.
I have a goatee now, but only because I'm not yet capable of growing a proper Santa Claus / viking beard.

Here is my own vote in favor of facial hair,...and the 2nd Amendment.
