A Grand Time of Year
It starts in earnest tomorrow as the muggy, stifling and oppressive heat gives way to cooler temperatures. Time for marching bands that shimmer and sparkle like jewels in the cool autumn night. Time for the brass to sound and the crowd to roar. So let the Buckeyes dot the "i" at the Horseshoe. Let the Seminoles do their chop. Let the War Eagle fly. Let the Tide Roll and let Uga take the field. And by all means, let Mike the Tiger roar and let the ground shake in Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. It's time for college football. To our friends, come to Tiger Stadium for an experience you'll never forget. To our opponents, please do come. The red carpet is out, …and it's feeding time for the Tigers.

Chomp. Chomp, chomp.
Gotta run, as I hear my Baby's car.
But my Gators will come for a visit.

War Eagle!
Dave, I will be cheering for your Tigers tomorrow.
#1 Never root outside the conference.
#2 I loathe the Ducks, their gaudy uniforms, and Chip Kelly. (And I am a mild-mannered woman).

Same here. I'm an SEC guy all the way,...we keep our squabbles in the family like that. You guys did great last year. Now it begins anew.
Re: the Ducks. I don't know enough about them one way or the other, but I am looking forward to the game.

Thought I was the lone Tiger's fan here in the mix. All I have to say is the Ducks are gonna' learn what happens when you grab a Tiger by the tail.

Nothing like it in the world. As Bob Stoops says, a college football game "lets you know you're alive." Good luck to everyone, and Boomer Sooner!

Rammer Jammer!
I was torn during last year's national championship game. Do I root for the SEC or against Auburn? Man, that was a tough choice! My family was divided on that question.
I rooted for Auburn. It won't happen again.

Oh, that's right! You got that whole Iron Bowl thing going! That's a tough rivalry too.

Re: A Grand Time of Year
Meanwhile, my Baby is finally ready to go change clothes and settle in and this gives me the opportunity to graduate from college ball and mention the really important sport, Pointy Ball. Go Jaguars!
I love UF, but bleed Teal and Black. Fred Taylor rejoined the Jaguars, yesterday, to retire after 11 years as a Jaguar and 2 as Patriot.. After so many years of being maligned as "Fragile Fred", a 13 year career.
But, he was a Gator, so that almost goes without saying!
There are some wonderfull comments from all over the league in a cloumn called, "What They Are Saying About Fred", at jaguars.com.
OK, I really gotta run, now, as it is unacceptable for me to be chatting about Pointy Ball, once Ms. Run gets changed.
Honey, put that frying pan down, I'm coming!
