A Federalist's Guide to Relocation
Mitch Daniels, as usual, had it right. In the new Ricochet podcast, he said "federalism is a competitive system." And that podcast alone -- whether in its tales of Texas's reproach to federal light bulb regulations or Mississippi's acquisition of new automobile plants -- was full of object lessons driving the point home.
Reason TV gets in on the action with this interview with William P. Ruger and Jason Sorens, the political scientists who authored the Mercatus Center's new study on the relative amounts of freedom in the 50 states. Shocking revelation: freer states are more economically dynamic. And less free states are hemorrhaging citizens.
