According to buzzfeed, you can find the 40 here.  I'm not sure of the who, why or how about the list being compiled.  I'll admit some I didn't know about (that is, assuming the label is truly warranted).

Are there any on the list who we dispute?

No fair picking on that Sajak fellow.  I'm reasonably sure they tagged him correctly.

In the spirit of bipartisanship, buzzfeed also listed 40 celebrities who are Democrats/liberals.  Find them here.  Shockers for me:  Faith Hill and Tim McGraw?

Can we trade Don King for Reese Witherspoon?

Faith and Tim would seem to me of the conservative southern Democrat ilk, which is still under the same political party as Matt Damon, but, you know, not the same. And why don't they have details for the democrats below their pics?  Because it needs no explanation.

Jack Nicholson's picture on the democrat link is a vision...

Alice Cooper is a conservative?

I guess you cannot tell by appearances, huh?

What amazes me is that the late Dennis Hopper was apparently a Hollywood conservative.  Dennis Hopper!  Of all people!!

I'm gonna take a wild leap and suggest they probably lean towards the libertarian side of the Republican Party.

Diane Ellis, Ed.

The only surprise for me on the 40 Democrat/liberal celebrities list was Paula Deen.  That woman has made her fortune making (and teaching others how to make) food that Red Staters (and Michael Moore) are known to love.   In Michelle Obama and Mike Bloomberg's perfect world, Paula Deen would be a casualty in the war against obesity.

I think that the 50 cent quote might be taken with a grain of salt.

The lack of Adam Baldwin on the list should be noted.  His twitter feed is one that I follow.  Tim Minear has libertarian leanings, as do many others.  While often libertine in their social policies, libertarians are in some way the most conservative -- due to being liberal in the "classical" sense -- citizens of all.

I would like to note that one can support legalization of drugs etc. without being libertine, which is why only some libertarians could be classified as libertine.

And a fantastic golfer and all around great guy.  My wedding weekend in Carmel included a round of golf for my husband and two dear friends.  He was told a Mr. Cooper would round out the foursome.  He invited them to the concert.  We invited him to the wedding.  They conflicted.  He is in my picture album.

On another note...why is it so difficult to harness the energy of well-known black conservatives to boost the Republican ranks.  Make it cool.  That being said, I think it would have been tough for these African-American celebrities to come out against Obama.

That surprised me, too — broke my heart, in fact.

However, I suspect that, if the heavy hand of the State ever reaches into her kitchen and tries to remove her salt, butter and mayonnaise (especially the mayonnaise), Paula Deen would turn conservative in a heartbeat.

Devil's Advocate Mode = On

The nanny-staters in the "war against obesity" direct their bureaucratic venom mostly on large corporations that make "junk food" and run restaurant chains.

They very rarely focus their attention on homemade food that just happens to be full of salt, sugar, and fat.  As such, a "foodie" like Paula Deen would presumably get a free pass.

It's sort of like the way they slap the "organic" label on food with no mention of its actual nutritional content.  Organic beer still gives you a beer belly if you drink too much of it, etc.

I knew there was more than meets the eye with Alice Cooper after seeing Wayne's World.  Anyone dropping Milwaukee fun facts at the after party is a thoughtful person.

That's just it, these listed Republicans are not obsessed with being cool, which in Hollywood means liberal and democrat-voting.  Look at the list and see which group is more in the limelight (blue team). These Republican celebs probably have much more going for them in their private lives, which means they don't have to make a big political stink everywhere they go.  Plus, it ain't good for business.

Democrats love to tar Republicans with the racist brush, but they are howling hypocrites.  For one thing, Democrats make every effort to keep blacks on the "Liberal Plantation" (if you will forgive the racially-charged allusion).  In their eyes, if you are born black, then you must become a Democrat.  It is almost liberal dogma.  And it is also a very pernicious form of racism.

Even worse, any black who flees the plantation and becomes conservative is treated like a loathsome heretic.  So, yes, it would be tough for black conservative celebrities to come out openly against Obama.  And I cannot blame them for being reluctant, because liberals (including the MSM) would make life absolutely miserable for them.

Ditto Johnny Ramone.

I, too, think 50 Cent is a bit of a stretch.  I guess saying the slightest kind word about George W. Bush will get you labeled forever.  Still, 50 has a reputation as the most business-savvy and prudently invested rapper out there (he owns a big chunk of Glaceau, who make Vitamin Water; they named a flavor after him).  So you never know, I guess.

No Ted Nugent?  Also, they missed Angie Harmon.  Notice  no mention of Schwarzenegger either.

Also, Ricochet's own resident punk icon!

Strike Gloria Estefan.  She hosted a fundraiser for Obama.

And Tim McGraw says he wants to be a Democrat politician some day.

You must have missed her episode where she visits the Carters at their Plains GA peanut farm. Pukeworthy. She calls him "Mr. Jimmy" the whole time. Also they made really bad food and ate on TV tray tables.

I'm thrilled he's a conservative, but Wayne Newton should sue his plastic surgeon. Just sayin.

I did in fact miss that episode.  I've only seen one episode.  The menu on that one episode I watched was fried chicken and donuts.

Alice Cooper (AKA Vincent Furnier) is also a born again Christian.  Nope, you can't judge a book by it's cover.

I think he should also lighten up on the makeup...
