Jon Gabriel on “Tipping Point” Talking Terror Propaganda and ISIS Wives
Ricochet Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel was on last night’s “Tipping Point with Liz Wheeler” to talk about the “Real Housewives of ISIS,” the appeal of Radical Islam to post-Christian Europe, and terror threats to the founders of Facebook and Twitter.

J.G. is not wearing pants.
Shhhh…
So, you don’t wear the coffee mug when on video? (nice job by the way, Rico’s solute you)
Wow, when I worked a vice car I used terms like pimps and prostitutes. I’m due for some reeducation and more diversity training. Jon you are much better person than I am.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think Liz Wheeler sounds a little “valley girl?”
Jon’s great.
Californians can’t help it (she is Californian right…? :) In any case, she’s leaps and bounds beyond the average progressive college student, props to her.
I don’t think kids could be taken in this easily by propaganda if they didn’t very much want to believe it. And what if part of why they want to believe it is that they’re unconsciously drawn to a culture that seems to make it easier for young people to consider themselves, and be considered, male or female ? Maybe most kids never wanted the number of “gender identity” choices that they currently have or so much ambiguity regarding male/female role expectations.
I’m not saying the current social confusion, caused by all this imposed gender and sexual identity and role ambiguity, is the main reason kids are attracted to the imaginary world of the ISIS propaganda. But I think it’s part of it. Teenagers might be drawn to a world in which there seems to be a clearer script to follow or go against.
See Feb issue of First Things, article by McDaniel, “Gaul Divided.” This goes to the heart of the issue in France. Gabriel is right about the cultural, intellectual, spiritual vacuum leading some non muslims to embrace radical islam. Why not? Some kids have embraced every other global insanity the post Christian world fosters.
Valley Girl might have been an improvement. If it weren’t for wanting to hear what Jon had to say, I’d have turned off the video, owing to that terrible voice.
How would you kn…. no, wait, Why would you care?
Hint: America, following Europe’s lead, has turned it’s back on Judeo-Christian civilization and It’s God, and now wonders why it’s young people are adrift in a sea of anti-Western hatred?
Listening to this drivel about developing counter propaganda, when we have nothing to say is perfect. And the idea of college faculty in charge shows how deep the vacuum is.
