I've recently discovered the Ricochet archive and have been working my way through the earliest ones to assuage my Ricochet withdrawal once a week. I'd like to know whose idea Ricochet was, how the present cast of characters evolved and what became of Mark Steyn's regular gig on the show? If you'd like to bring in a bit more money, I'd suggest a premium podcast where a cocktail replaces the coffee and a single guest is invited...a person prominent in some important area of the culture or that swamp (aka politics).

Peter Robinson and Rob Long began kicking around an idea like Ricochet in mid 2007, and it went through a series of rapid changes from October 2008 to May 2009.
Our Contributors were recruited based on a combination of reputation, personal relationships, and a lot of sniffing around. It's a never-ending but fun and rewarding process.

Ricochet is the bastard child conceived on an NRO cruise one night when "The Corner" drank 1 too many Singapore Slings.

Ricochet sprang, fully formed, from the head of William F. Buckley, Jr.
