SCOTUS Sequestration (or whatever it should be called) ?

I'm assuming that the justices and their staffs are not sequestered -- like a typical jury deliberating a case -- between the time of oral arguments and release of their decision. Is this the case?
I understand that this would be difficult to enforce but why would this not be the right thing to administer 'blind justice'?
