If I use the "Invite Friends!" feature, are the invitees informed about the identity of the person issuing the invitation?

I want to protect the integrity of my pseudonym, but I would also like to invite some "real-world" friends to Ricochet.

(One might ask, if they are such good friends, why do you want to keep your identity hidden from them?  The answer if that it's politics, and one cannot trust even the closest friends to make sure that confidential information remains confidential.)

In short, if I invite friends, will they know that I'm the one inviting them?

Apparently so. If you test it by using the Preview Invitation button you can see the first and last name you have listed under My Account are prominently displayed on the second line of the email message.

Roberto is correct.  We want the invitation to be extended by a real person, so it would include your real name.

However, it doesn't tie your name to your pen name, so all the invitation recipient would know is that you're a Member of Ricochet.  He or she wouldn't know, for example, that you have a fondness for vodka spiked Kool-Aid, or that you follow Ted Nugent on Facebook.

Unless, of course, these preferences are widely known to your friends, in which case it's out of our hands.
