Update on Development
Since we last wrote a post, we've rolled out a major new feature: the Intel tab. This is an area of the site where, like on Quora, Stack Exchange, or Yahoo! Answers, you can ask a question and have the community answer it. Read more about it here, or jump on over to ask or answer a question.
Note: the "People I'm Following" tab had to be removed to make room for the new Intel tab. But don't fret-- you can always see it again by visiting http://ricochet.com/mypeople. Furthermore, we plan to roll the functionality of the "Conversations I'm Following" and the "People I'm Following" into a single "My Feed" tab in the near future.
We've also addressed a long-standing deficiency-- our search feature was simply broken. For the time being, I've replaced it entirely with a custom Google site search box. It works fairly well, but when we have time, we'll be revamping our internal search service and making it better than before.
The Share buttons are getting some updates. We've already upgraded to the latest ShareThis widget, which addressed some issues with the Email function, and is frankly, nicer to use.
