A Gentleman’s Guide to Trump’s Comments about Illegal Immigrants, Crime

I have a piece up today at FoxNews.com hoping to counter/educate/eradicate the lefty media who have turned Donald Trump’s valid concern about illegal immigration into false allegations of racism and insensitivity.

Actually, reading some things on Ricochet prompted me to write it as well, to be perfectly honest.

I make the point that if the illegal Mexican residents alone were a state, they’d be the 14th largest state in America, the same size as Massachusetts.  Imagine if Massachusetts tomorrow declared they were abandoning their state government and requesting that the rest of us provide the structure for them from everything from roads, to bridges, to police, to firefighters as well as prisons and jails?   Would we say yes?  Or would we accuse them of freeloading?

I’ve come up with some numbers on Mexican illegal immigrants and rape, and my takeaway is as follows:

“A good deal has been made by the leftists in the media that Donald Trump focused on rape. Normally a politician seeking to do away with 1,603 rapes of women each year would be heralded as a hero. But the political season is not normal. Instead, adding insult to horrible injury of 1,603 raped women per year, the left prioritized hurt feelings over rape and called Trump a racist because the men who did it were Mexican. Good grief. Anything to win an election.”

I hope you enjoy the rest of it.

THANK YOU, TOMMY!!! I’m sick of all the Trump bashing on both the left and and the right. Maybe Donald Trump’s candidacy is a farce; maybe he is a self-aggrandizing buffoon; maybe he is a Democrat Trojan horseI don’t know, only time will tell. However, what Donald Trump is actually **saying** is a breath of fresh air and he is doing a far superior job communicating the truth about our situation (and not just on the issue of illegal immigration) than the rest of the GOP candidates—combined!

It all comes down to white guilt, ultimately.

His Facebook Feed has people who self-identify as Hispanic (trigger warning – they could be plants or astroturf of course) praising him and pledging their vote. Take it for what its worth.

It’s a fact that there are bad men coming across the border from Mexico.  Many of them are Mexicans, and nearly all of the are hispanic.

I’ve known many Mexicans and many hispanics, and I don’t know a single rapist.  none of them would appreciate being called a rapist, or being lumped in with rapists.

The reason the left (and frankly some on the right) must vilify Trump is that this is precisely what they themselves are doing.  Race-based identity politics is exactly the lumping in of the decent with the monstrous based on factors other than the content of character.  It lays claim to identity, but properly has little to do with it.

Trump’s statement made distinctions based on character, not race.  The left must selectively hear “race” in all cases, and frankly, so must some on the right.

I self-identify as a half-froggy, half-frito bandito, mackerel snapping, heteronormative Texan imperialist.  And I’ll vote for Trump if he’s the nominee.

Yeap, I would too, But the time between now and the election will ultimately determine whether Trump is just a flash in the pan or the real deal. I hope he’s the real deal.

Yeah, Mike, but you’re not a real “half-froggy, half-frito bandito, mackerel snapping, heteronormative Texan imperialist,” else how could you vote Republican?  You must be one of them fake ones.

Trump is garnering attention because establishment politicians on both sides have been communicating that the exact opposite of Trump’s message is true.  (All illegal immigrants are honest hard working people who come here out of love.) Trump’s message may contain a degree of inaccuracy, but compared to the political establishments’s message it is a paragon of truth.

Trump’s comments are outrageous.  We all know that the only group that can be accused of a “rape epidemic,” on a blanket basis and without evidence, are white male college students.
