Gamma Male Hipsters for Hillary
This is apparently a real, genuine Hillary campaign pitch; not a parody of what a desperately corrupt and out of touch elderly Democrat might do to reach out to what her advisors tell her is a critical voting demographic.
UPDATE: Oh, dear… beware the perils of stock images.
Update: The Hillary campaign is disavowing the ad; I guess we’ll just have to trust her that she would own up to an embarrassing mistake.

Yes, but what bathroom does he use?
It’s nice they didn’t see fit to give us a view of the skinny jeans.
People in advertising really need to broaden their hiring practice.
Guys like that? Probably too stoned to vote Hillary. Here’s who you need to persuade:
Their reaction is, of course, to seeing that, um, man.
[expletive] hipsters.
There is something rather odd about the facial features in this advertisement, I wonder if there was a bit of digital alteration in order to achieve the desired look.
I was wondering if the beard is real. Usually a beard like that is paired with a similar style up top, not a neatly coiffed short hair style.
… I don’t think that guy knows what “man enough” means.
I thought we agreed to keep that picture of us from last night’s meet up on the down low.
Question for the Rico ladies.
Is this guy attractive?
The guy in the ad, not Austin’s avatar over which I know you swoon.
Exactly what does it mean anyway?
It seems as if HRC is catering to archaic, regressive stereotypes as to the nature of masculinity, not very progressive. This advertisement is a clear insult to the LGBTQWERTY community.
He must be a Trump guy, he has a hint of orange sheen to his bronzer.
Are there seriously people who would look at this picture and perceive a model (heh!) of masculinity?
Perplexed heterosexual women want to know.
I wouldn’t bet on that. Imagine the words coming out in a fruity voice with a lisp, and then he breaks into the YMCA song.
No.
He appears to have reasonably symmetrical and balanced facial features, which would generally create a positive impression … but everything else (the clothing and grooming choices, the stance – oh my word! That stance!) adds up to a great big “no thank you!
Folks, this is an ad targeted at women by a group of women who were trying to target men. As such, it has enough ironic amusement to overdose any hipster.
Same guy was used for another media campaign:
More proof HER is a social disease.

I’m man enough to give money to Carly.
Seawriter, I swear I added the update before I saw your post.
Don’t apologize. It is just an example of great minds running along the same gutters. Besides you have the better picture.
(As long as you are at it, feel free to steal my line that “Her is a social disease.”)

You win the internet.
You thought you hit rock bottom when you did the Syphilis ad for the sides of public buses in Portland, buddy? No way. Your career can actually sink lower. Waaaay lower.
For all his faults, Obama never once came out and said, “Vote for the black man,” never mind put it in an ad. Sure a lot of his supporters did, but to my knowledge the man himself never debased himself in that way.
This means Clinton is more identocratic* than Obama.
*I freely admit to making that word up.
And why is she trying to shame us with expectations of stereotypical masculinity?
C’mon H. A little truth in advertising … please.
Also: “Gamma Male Hipster” is redundant.
Comment on UPDATE
In Portland, syphilis comes in Tall, Grande and Venti.
They are a bit slow on the uptake, redundancy may be necessary. It comes with trying to be ironic 24/7.
In any other realm of modern life, pressuring someone through use of the term “man enough” would be universally decried by leftists as some sort of gender bullying.
Yes, that is a real look. I see a lot of it in the main contractor (Lockheed Martin) where I work. The civil service guys look more like the other picture.
