I didn’t leave the Young Republicans. Youth left me.

Now I’m going to watch some Ainsley Hayes Youtube clips to get this thread out of my mind. ;)

    Very funny.
I wonder if College Republicans can use this to their advantage by acknowledging the stodgy stereotype while including the chill conservatives.

Quibble, I hang around a lot of liberals & they’re usually the loudest ones in the room.

The Onion sometimes reaches genius.  “What is it about [Republicans] that is so attractive to young buzz-kills?”

There really is a uniform, isn’t there? The blue blazer is a dead giveaway, with or without necktie. That and the receding hairline.

If a Young Democrat has a receding hairline, he compensates by growing what remains to length and putting it in a ponytail. And he’d never be caught dead in a blue blazer!

Yeah, but the lefties think they are showing what non-conforming free-thinkers they are, while the young righties, by deliberately reflecting an older, more gracious standard, stick out like sore thumbs.

Myself, I am waiting to see if that giant garbage island in the middle of the ocean wins the 2024 olympic bid. That will be the bellweather that “change” is coming.

On the nose, at least if my experience with the local Young Republicans chapter in high school is indicative of the breed. And yes, it was headed up by a guy named Todd.

That’s hilarious, and so true; a few days ago a taxi driver asked me if I was married, because of how I dressed and acted.

In all seriousness, this is not funny; more propagating of the ‘same ole same ole’ myth of GOPs as geeks.

I was a YAF in college and let me assure you, no one mistook me for a nerd!

After seeing this video, it’s hard to get exercised over the police wearing camouflage…

Very enjoyable video.  Hope that we have the wit to play it at the Republican Convention; then hope that the attendees have the wit to laugh.

    Like.

This is precisely why I never got involved with the campus Conservative clubs when I was a student (but joined the “youth” association after I graduated).
